Today I'm so honored to introduce you to Kimberly Miller from Hug Longer Digital Designs. She's really the brains behind Embroidery Designer Mall and an incredibly talented designer with a keen eye for good design. Kimberly is a fascinating person and I hope that this Designer Spotlight gives you a little glimpse into her world!

I am Kimberly Miller from Hug Longer Digital Designs. I live in Arizona with my husband of 36 years, although it is hard to say that we “officially” live anywhere as we travel at least half time. Together we have a couple of running related businesses and are both runners ourselves. I have run races that were up to 100 miles! More recently I have stuck to shorter distances and I am slower but running is still “my thing”.
I got into embroidery shortly after my granddaughter was born in 2010. My husband and I have 2 boys and finally having a girl in the family was a great reason to get an embroidery machine. I immediately knew that I wanted to design my own things and I started doing so within a year. By 2013 I had pun a few of my designs on Etsy and started slowly building my business.I love creating all kinds of designs but by far I feel as if the in the hoop designs are what sets me aside from other designers.
Although so many of us digitizers all have similar items (zipper bags, bibs….) I do my best to create unique versions and make the instructions easy to follow. I also have been doing some video tutorials to go along with several of my in the hoop designs.I have a couple favorites when it comes to my designs. I love the
ITH Quilted Baby Bib and the ITH Diaper and Wipe case. Together they make such a great shower gift and they are easy to make. Add a cute appliqué or monogram using the same fabric and I have always gotten the “wow” when new moms to be open their gift.
Going forward something that excites me is I have been learning to make sublimation files. I am hoping to have more of these available for my customers soon!
